Dev,

Good point, especially since a group of us on a KTOS foray saw an
immature White Ibis at Rankin Bottoms yesterday.

I hadn't thought of your point about solitary vs group flight, which
does sound like my experience.  Thanks for bringing that up.  But
these were Great Egrets.
