4/20/20 Davidson County
I decided to try snow bunting Peninsula in North Nashville for shorebirds
this morning, and found it fairly empty and sunny. Nothing of note better
than a spotted sandpiper on the point, singing warbling vireos, and both
Oriole species over in the picnic area. however, I then heard the nasal
calls of a fish crow, and turned to see two small crows fly in, land in the
grass by one of the park benches, calling several times while they hopped
around. They only stayed about a minute, before flying over to the shore,
and only a couple more minutes before flying out and away over the water.
They could very easily be across the way in Sumner County, and could easily
come back. I was able to get audio recordings and bad photos, which will
hopefully be accepted for a county first.
