I observed 3 Forster's Terns today diving and fishing at Cove Lake St. Pk
Campbell County.
Rarely seen here. Beautiful ! They seemed to be getting plenty of food when
diving..
I was NOT able to get a photo but will return to try.
I wanted to mention that this time of year can often yield "rare" species at
the lake.
They often do not stay more than a few hours. (A few years back I actually
found a White Pelican
walking around in the ball field in August)
Keep thinking Black Terns should turn up here at any time!
With this front blowing through this afternoon, (NW winds 10-15 mph pushing
out some humidity, there could be interesting sightings there this weekend.)
