TN-Birders, I'm away for one day, I come back and now I'm really confused about this message posted on TN-Birds. I guess I shouldn't have chewed on the Big W last year for not responding ASAP to a bird question I wrote him about. Something silly about not seeing White-breasted Nuthatches at one house in the woods while the other house in the woods has them all around. Finally, the Big W responded and told me that I had better back off or else. Now, I see its come back to haunt me. Now there are more WB Nuthatches at the second property then at the first. But, still I think someone named Merry has been in the holiday cheer BIG TIME a little before the holidays. HIC Nell Moore, what have you done to deserve seeing your name in this posting? Then, all the discussions on cats killing birds and people killing birds and dogs killing cats and the lack of natural predators because of man-management and everyone kissing and hugging and checking their sex and then...Merry stops the thread of messages...Its just not fair. Well, fuey! To anyone who cares to read this-my four cats stay inside for THEIR own good! Of the 50+ miles I travel on a daily basis I am constantly reminded that cat or dog VS vehicle=splatter. Since I started paying attention to the bird life around me I found another good reason to keep the critters inside. But, I will say that one of my cats-when she was the outdoor type never brought many dead birds home. She did, though, attack and latch onto a poodle type mutt on a leash one day. The owner would walk the dog by our house in the Fish Camp in Punta Gorda, FL everyday and let the dog pee on our car tires. Well, the cat had enough of this nonsense and waited patiently for the dog and owner to appear. When they did she sunk her claws into the dog. The owner was trying to get the cat off of his dog by SWINGING both the leashed dog and cat around. Needless to say, the owner found a new route to take his dog on. I tried reaching Wally by phone last month and kept getting a busy signal. He must have been there :-) I think he is mad at me. I think he doesn't want to talk to me. He is an angry sort of dictator here on TN-Birds and won't let anyone do everything they want to. I really don't like him but, heck, I don't have to deal with him because he won't return my e-mail messages. He edits everything I try to put online. He makes fun of me and Anna Vareney and Nell Moore on line and they really get mad at him. He is mean. Recently, I was commenting on how long it takes him to respond to an e-mail message and that I thought he had a new address. Anna Varney and Nell Moore each told me not to get all excited and concerned. Anna said she had waited four months for him to reply and Nell said it had been so long she just gave up. I think he gets busy and puts things off. I don't think he has shunned a charming gal like you. From what I hear, you are a nice person, great birder and a fun gal in the field. I remember Wally telling someone one time about you serving pudding on the yellow line in the middle of the road because they showed you a 100% guranteed life Swainson's Warbler. He must think you are wonderful. Here are two secrete e-mail addresses you may try him at. I'm sure he will get at least one of your messages. He may respond to you at one of these special addresses. Don't let others on TN-Birds know that I gave you these special, personal e-mail addresses. And promise not to let him know I gave them to you. He would shun me for months. He would take me off of TN-Birds and make fun of me publically and talk bad about me at TOS meetings. Wally would kill me if he found that out. Anna and Nell would tell you that it might be the middle of next summer before you year from him. But go ahead and use his special e-mail addresses: jwcoffey@xxxxxxxxxx and jwcoffey@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Of course you know he hides behind that jwcoffey@xxxxxxxxxx address so he doesn't have to respond to the rest of us low life people here on TN-Birds that he thinks are beneath him. Do you know him? I'd like for you to introduce me to him. I think he is really cute. He is a great looking guy. I hear he has a beard. Is that true? Chris Sloan said he was the best birder in Tennessee. Jeff Wilson said he didn't think he was that good of a birder. Ken said he use to have a crush on Robbie Hassler when he was young. I wished he'd have a crush on me know that he is old.....Don't keep your fingers crossed on an e-mail from Wally ;-) Mary Christmas to you.....
