Harpeth River State Park Gossett Tract Cheatham County I spent this morning walking trails at the Gossett Tract. The most common bird was Yellow-breasted Chat. They were everywhere, being extremly vocal, displaying and chasing each other. I saw at least twenty and I am sure there were more. What fun! White-eyed Vireo, Indigo Bunting and Common Yellowthroat were in big numbers also. Prairie Warblers are present and I heard Blue-winged Warblers in three seperate locations.Ticks are common also, so if you go be prepared.
