The banding doldrums continue at Greenway Farms. Monday (8 September) we banded
3 Hooded Warblers, 2 Ovenbirds, a Veery, and a Wood Thrush. Today was very
dead, with only a Veery and a Gray Catbird (FOS) to show for it. There are
still a lot of Eastern Wood-Pewees around, along with many hummingbirds,
several Yellow-throated Vireos, a Common Yellowthroat, a Prairie Warbler, and a
Baltimore Oriole. I am hoping the cold front that is supposed to move through
over the weekend will bring some birds with it.
