[TN-Bird] How likely for a yellow rail at Kyker Bottoms, Blount Co.?

Was out Sunday afternoon.  Saw lesser yellowlegs, the usual suspects.
Flushed a reclusive bird that flew very briefly over some open water about 10
ft then dropped into grasses and vanished. Looking at Sibley's & online
resources I am thinking it was a yellow rail.  White thumbprints at the rear
base of the wings, dropped wingtips. I didn't recognize the bird at all
initially, which generally means it's something I haven't seen or haven't seen
in decades.
Could this have been a yellow rail?
Thanks
