Hi Lee Anne,
Don't know if anyone responded privately to you, but you're correct that
this is an Orchard Oriole. Without examination in the hand, however, we
can't say male or female.
Best birding,

Hi everyone,
Today, as I was walking by the window, I saw a Baltimore Oriole at my koi
pond, so I had to get out there a take pics in hopes of getting a shot of
him. He never came back but this oriole showed up. At first I thought it
was the female, but a friend said she thought it was an immature…but the
more we looked at it, we decided that it was a female Orchard Oriole. …then
I looked at some other shots and it has a couple of dark spots on its
neck. You can see the edge of one. Do you think it might be an immature
male orchard. I’m so confused. LOL
I also had a chipping sparrow today.
Thanks for your help!
