I just saw an interesting bird on one of my feeders and I could use some help identifying it. Here's what I could see. It had black streaks almost down to the end of its belly. It has a grayish (maybe brown) back with some white. Its breast and belly are white. It was sparrow size and sparrow like. It ate seeds at a hanging feeder filled with mixed blend seeds. It traveled alone. I think it has dark legs. It also eats at a tube feeder with mixed blend. It has a short, small bill and I'd estimate the bird is at least 5 to 6". The gray on its back stops at the top of its wings. It's head is a tan white, almost the same as it's breast. It is NOT a junco. It hasn't set foot on the ground to feed. The tail seems darker than its breast. I will send more descriptions as I see it. Thanks! Sam Lawson Bird on!
