Jeff Wilson has found TN's 1st Inca Dove, near the Painted Bunting site at
TVA Allen Power Plant. Jeff 1st saw the bird as a brief fly-by, from the
levee just west of the Painted Bunting site. After some searching he refound
the bird along the road in the parking area for the Corps dredging
operation. This is just west of the power plant, off the upper levee road.
The bird flushed, and Jeff hasn't refound the bird as of my 2nd conversation
with him. There is no pattern yet to this birds movements, so anywhere in
the area is worth looking at. Jeff's 1st look was very quick, but on the 2nd
he got good looks at the bird, hopefully he'll get some pix to share with us
as well.

I just got back from AZ this week, and after being gone 5 of the last 6
weekends, looks like it will probably be tomorrow before I might get a
chance to try for this bird. Good luck to everyone that does go, put a
little salt on its tail if you will. :')

An hour or so of birding around home Wednesday morning produced little more
than my 1st TN Lark Sparrow the year, in Henry Co. Don Manning had seen a
pair of Larks in the general vicinity a couple of weeks ago, so they are
around once again.

Good birding!!
