My report from my yard in Hermitage TN, near The Hermitage for the
International Migratory Bird Day included a couple of surprises. Seen just
before, during, and after the storm were:

Great Blue Heron 2- Flying over my yard
Mourning Dove 1
Chimney Swift 5
Eastern Kingbird 1
Barn Swallow 2
Carolina Chickadee 2
American Robin 5
Northern Mockingbird 3
European Starling 15
Cedar Waxwing 2 Heard singing
                                                     Song Sparrow 1
Northern Cardinal 5
Common Grackle 7
Brown-headed Cowbird 2
American Goldfinch 2
House Sparrow 8

Number of Species: 16

The herons flew low over my yard about 5 minutes apart just before the storm
hit. I tried to get pictures but all I got were smudges.
The starlings were even more active during the storm than before or after
it!

Good Birding!
