Donna and I had one male and one female Long-tailed Duck at Boone Dam in northeast Tennessee near Kingsport this morning (Feb 03) around 9:30 am. The birds moved around a bit from right in front of the dam, along the rock face across from the dam, and finally right under the glass observation room at the TVA visitor center there. Could be the same birds that birders have been seeing at Musick's campground near Bristol, TN, as we are near that location (as the duck flies). When we left at around 10:30 the birds were still in front of the observation room at the visitor's center.
