Yesterday afternoon(3-18-02), after the heavy rains, I was walking along the
Third Creek Bike trail from the UT campus in Knoxville and a Louisiana
Waterthrush flew up from the bank of the creek. It chipped at me and landed in
a tree about 10 feet in front of me doing it's tail bobbing. Really nice view.

Today (3-19-02) I was walking to campus on the same trail and I flushed up a
Northern Cardinal with nesting material. I spotted the nest, moved back a few
feet and watched her go to the nest with the small piece of grass. I also
found an American Robin builing a nest on the Ag-campus. Last week I found
crows building on the main campus. It must be spring.

PS I did not find the Waterthrush again today.
