Greene County, TN
Work commitments kept me in for much of the day today, but I managed to find a
few bird species of interest, including the following:
Broad-winged Hawk (in Greeneville)
Solitary Sandpiper (on C.M. Jones Rd.)
Horned Lark (singing in display flight at Lick Creek Bottoms Wildlife
Management Area unit located at intersection of Hwy. 348, N. Mohawk Rd., and S.
Mohawk Rd.)
Marsh Wren (singing from a brushy drainage ditch at Lick Creek Bottoms Wildlife
Management Area unit located at intersection of Hwy. 348, N. Mohawk Rd., and S.
Mohawk Rd.)
Wood Thrush (singing outside my window this morning--a great alarm clock)
Purple Finch (2 in Greeneville).
