[TN-Bird] Re: More migrants, Lewis County (plus non-missing Blackpoll)

We find it interesting that some other areas are having what seems to
be a shortage of Blackpolls. We live in northwest TN, in Henry County,
and have seen more Blackpoll Warblers this year than ever before. We
saw 8 or 9 on Tuesday between two locations along Kentucky Lake (Paris
Landing and Eagle Creek), and also saw a couple recently at the
Britton Ford area of the Big Sandy unit of TN National Wildlife
Refuge. Before this year, we had seen only one Blackpoll in our area.
Granted, it is just in the last couple of years that we have begun
spending more time looking for warblers and have learned more about
when and how to find them. So that may account for our low number
previously. But still, of the several species of warbler we saw on
Tuesday, Blackpolls had the highest number of individual birds.
