As I was leaving for work this morning around 6:50 EDT and a male MOURNNG WARBLER was singing loudly from my backyard (934 Cravens Terrace, just below the Cravens House), it even got up on my fence totally exposed and sang for a few seconds before it flew to the powerline cut behind the house still singing. This is the only record of the species so far this year in the Chattanooga area and a new yard bird for me! Dan and Kathy Jacobson, Judy Newsome and I also had two WILSON'S WARBLERS singing below the Cravens House on Sunday morning May 22.
