I was out birding Radnor, Shelby Bottoms, and headed back home to the Murfreesboro Wetlands. The most unusual bird I saw was out at the Wetlands about one in the afternoon. I turned the corner toward the back and, on the ground, I saw a bird a little bit bigger than a robin with a white back and black wings. It flew away too fast for a photograph. It went into the trees and flew by me again. I went around four more times, but did not see it again. Being a newby birder, I have absolutely no clue what it could have been because I have never seen it before and could not find it in the audubon book. If someone else has seen a bird like this, can you tell me what it is?
