"NORTHERN MINNESOTA - WINTER OWL INVASION" is the progam for the May meeting
of the TOS Nashville chapter.
As most of you know the winter of 2004/2005 was an irruptive year for owls in
Minnesota and Wisconsin. Over 2000 Great Gray Owls, 300 Northern Hawk Owls
and several hundred Boreal Owls were seen during the winter. The staggering
numbers sent hundreds of birders north during the coldest months of the year.
A group af Nashville birders ventured north in mid-February to see owls and
other boreal species including Gray Jay, Boreal Chickadee, Common and Hoary
Redpoll, Pine Grosbeak and hundreds of Bohemian Waxwings. So come cool off and
see video by Jan Shaw and slides by Frank Fekel.

The public and non-members are welcome. Refreshments at 7:pm, the meeting
begins at 7:30 Radnor Lake Visitor Center, Nashville.
