Putnam and Fentress Counties
Traveling

Headed up to Putnam County this morning to look for the Henslow Sparrow
Steve Stedman located a few weeks ago betweet Monterey and Clarkrange, The
fields had been mowed but there was still some high grass left in wet areas
and around the ponds. Heard 1 bird giving it's Hiccup call. Headed into
Fentress Co and found Wood ducks on a farm pond and then noticed a
Red-shouldered Hawk standing next to a small bush on the other side of the
pond and spotted another one sitting on a fence post nearby. Beautiful
birds. Headed up to Clarkrange to there Industrial park which is a gravel
road with no industry and ha Grasshopper Sparrow, Bobwhite Quails, Blue
Groasbeak Chats, and other birds. Nice morning of birding. Always feel
great when I'm on the Cumberland Plateau one of my favorite places in
Tennessee if not my favorite.

Good birding
