Radnor Lake State Natural Area Davidson Co., TN 2012 Mar. 27 7:15-8:15 am cool and clear Returning from a weekend visiting grandchildren in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area, I went for a brief Radnor Lake walk on this glorious morning. A stroll along the Lake Trail to Long Bridge provided me with a pair of calling BLUE-GRAY GNATCATCHERs. Also seen and heard was a single N. PARULA and 3 twittering CHIMNEY SWIFTs. There were still nearly 75 LESSER SCAUP on the lake. A 5 minute stop at Walter S. Davis marsh before going to work produced 1 N. ROUGH-WINGED, 2 TREE, and 1 BARN SWALLOW. There were still five species of ducks there including 6 BLUE-WINGED TEAL.
