Radnor Lake State Natural Area Davidson Co. Nashville, TN Monday 2008 May 12 7:00 - 10:15 am NTOS birder Kevin Bowden and I had the same idea, enjoy Radnor without yesterday's strong winds. Birding remained good in the chilly morning air, and one of the BALD EAGLEs called a number of times as I walked to Long Bridge and back to the West Parking lot. The dam proved to be the best spot this morning with 2 LEAST FLYCATCHERs chasing each other and a MOURNING WARBLER singing and then seen between the Spillway and Ranger's house. A WILSON'S WARBLER was also in the area. A singing WARBLING VIREO and BLACKBURNIAN WARBLER that gave excellent looks were other nice additions. With work again insisting I leave earlier than I prefered, I finished with 19 warbler species. WARBLERS: Tennessee 6 Nashville 1 N.
