As John Noel (my social-distancing partner) and I walked around Radnor this
morning we heard the rumor that the park would be closing. (Insert expletive
here!)
We had lots of Yellow-rumped Warblers and a couple of Yellow-throated Warblers
and plenty of N. Parulas and Blue-gray Gnatcathers. Have you ever noticed that
when you hear a parula there’s frequently a Blue-gray nearby? I have,
especially when they’re on territory in the spring. These birds at Radnor could
very well already be on territory.
The one new migrant was a Great Egret!
The word is that State Parks will reopen on the 14th - I hope this happens!

I was told this morning by a reliable source that Radnor Lake in Davidson Co.
is going to temporarily close to visitors starting tomorrow, April 4. I don't
know how long the closing will last. Such a blow.
