A flock of 12 Sandhill Cranes flew over the Cedar Glade Walk behind the Cedars of Lebanon State Park Office around 2:30. They were very high flying but we heard before them before we could see them. They were circling before disappearing... Roy Turrentine heard them 1st (I was talking with daughter as were working on her Brownie Badge) Other birds, in addition to the Sandhill Cranes, on the trail walk include: - American Crow - Carolina Chickadee -Blue Jay - Northern Cardinal Note the birds were rather sparse. The weather was still cold & dank...occasional blue sky mixed with cloudy. Temperature did not rise to a more comfortable temp until 4:00 pm that day. Quite a bit of the trail was snow covered.
