August 21, 2004 Shelby Park and Bottoms East Nashville, Dav Co. I birded Mission Hill in Shelby Park last weekend and relocated the Olive-sided Flycatcher . . . Not much luck with other migrants, with a Blue-winged Warbler as the highlight. I also finally found a SEDGE WREN at Shelby Bottoms . . . He patiently sang and sang out of sight in the middle of the, well, sedge I guess. The shorebird area was deserted. On another note, I also found the Gallatin Steam Plant deserted a couple of weeks back. Once again we have a dearth of migrating windbirds in middle TN. Good birding- Jason Mann Nashville, TN ************************************* Jason R.
