Frank Fekel and I birded Mission Hill in Shelby Park this morning,
once again searching for Frank's Olive-sided Flycatcher for the year.
I arrived shortly before Frank and found the Flycatcher perched in
his usual spot, which is visible to the left of the parking area.
It flew off just as Frank pulled up, however, and he was not
happy when he heard those words birders dread: "You should
have been here 30 seconds ago". Fortunatly, it returned a few
minutes later, and Frank got his bird.
Other species seen this morning included:

Yellow-billed Cuckoo - 1
Baltimore Oriole - 17+
Blue-winged Warbler - 1
Northern Parula - 1
Chestnut-sided - 2
Black-throated Green Warbler - 1
Black-and-white Warbler - 1
American Redstart - 1
Ovenbird - 1

In Phase 1 of Shelby Bottoms, we
saw a single Wilson's Warbler.
