Got to TVA ponds around 630pm this evening in time to see the Juv Neotropical Cormorant hanging out with an Adult & two Juv DC Cormorants. Great size difference. The DC Cormorants departed after about twenty minutes headed south. The Neo left about fifteen minutes later. I got some distant pictures while it was sitting next to the other birds and also some distant ones on the wing. I'll try to post to my phase account tomorrow. Seven Blk-bellied Whistling Ducks and some shorebirds on the far mud flat. Down at the Riverport Sloughs, the big pond is not much of a pond now, more like a big mud hole with patches of shallow water. Several birds were still actively feeding on the easy buffet. Birds were starting to find roost trees for the night, in all I counted 150+ Great Egrets, 32 Great Blue Herons and a handful each of Snowy Egrets & Little Blue Herons(wht). One Green Heron up at the TVA Lake.
