Sept 15,2006, Various Collierville Areas, Shelby County, Tn

Location: Home feeders 718 Gable Lane

Observation date: 9/15/06, 8am-8:35am

Notes: Early morning refilling the hummer feeders and it was cool
outside mid 60's. Birds were up and about, I had to go.

Number of species: 7

Ruby-throated Hummingbird 14

Northern Flicker 1

Blue Jay 3

American Robin 6

Northern Mockingbird 2

Common Grackle 30

House Sparrow 3

Location: Peterson Lake Nature Center

Observation date: 9/15/06, 4:30pm-6:30pm, 2.5 miles hiking

Notes: Walked the boardwalk. They have started phase two of the
boardwalk hiking path to the Wolf River and bottom land sloughs. Simple
bridges and the 10 ft wide bush-hogged trail would do as they have, but I
think there is going to be more boardwalk then needed. Hopefully all the new
access trails(equipment & supplies) will stay, good trails with good
habitat. Barred Owl heard calling several times. Lots of Warblers and other
birds in the canopy which I couldn't ID.

Number of species: 20

Mourning Dove 3

Barred Owl 1

Chimney Swift 2

Ruby-throated Hummingbird 1

Belted Kingfisher 1
