I spent much of today doing trail work and then biking in the Bandy Creek - Grand Gap area of the Big South Fork in Scott County. I didn't have binoculars on much of the time. Among the more notable observations were: Sedge Wren - 1 (seen through binoculars) in wet brush at the outlet to the pond across from the Bandy Creek Visitor Center. Stedman and Stedman do not list this bird for the park in their book, so it is one of, at most, very few records of it at the BSF. Red-breasted Nuthatch - 3 heard Chuck Nicholson Norris, TN
