Good Evening Birders... It was a good day on Long Creek Wildlife Refuge at LBL near Lake Barkley, KY. Steve and I have 64 species in all...pretty good for not arriving in the area until 10:30 am. Highlights included 11 Warblers - NORTHERN PARULA, YELLOW WARBLER (FOS), CHESTNUT-SIDED WARBLER (FOS), BLACK THROATED GREEN (FOS), YELLOW-THROATED WARBLER, PINE WARBLER, PRAIRIE WARBLER, PROTHONOTARY WARBLER (FOS), WORM-EATING WARBLER (FOS), LOUISIANA WATERTHRUSH AND COMMOM YELLOW THROAT. Also present at Long Creek were 5 GREAT EGRETS. Other treat of the day was a FOS SCARLET TANAGER and YELLOW THROATED VIREO. We also had FOS PURPLE MARTINS at the Nature Station and as we headed home a lone CATTLE EGRET at a farm on Hwy 68/80. Hope you all had a "birdy" day as well. Spring has indeed sprung! As always, happy birding, <") ( \ / |` Cyndi and Steve Routledge "When one tugs at a single thing in Nature, he finds it attached to the rest of the world." ~John Muir =================NOTES TO SUBSCRIBER===================== The TN-Bird Net requires you to SIGN YOUR MESSAGE with first and last name, CITY (TOWN) and state abbreviation.
