TN Birders: A Surf Scoter was at Musick's Campground on South Holston Lake this afternoon (11/4). It was in Sullivan Co., TN. Elsewhere: a flock of at least 200 Rusty Blackbirds was in Holston Valley, Sullivan Co., TN. Weir Dam below South Holston Dam, Sullivan Co., Greater Scaup 1, Amerigan Wigeon 22, Bufflehead 25 and Hooded Merganser 1. Middlebrook Lake, Sullivan Co., TN: the color band marked Double-crested Cormorant is still present. The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service is waiting on information to be returned from the bander. The banding lab believes this bird was banded in New York state. Let's go birding...
