Hi All,

I spent the morning at Duck River Unit of Tn. NWR. This refuge
has been closed to vehicle traffic for several months while levees
were being built. It appears most of the work is complete and it
looks really good. There is a road atop the levee that should provide
great viewing.

Lots of dabblers here with a great close in group of Pintails. I
spotted a lone pair of Snow Geese in a muddy field.

My afternoon destination was the Big Sandy Unit. A large raft of
divers on the Tn. River side of Pace Point contained great numbers
of Red-breasted and Hooder Mergansers, Common Goldeneyes, Ring-necks
and Horned Grebes. I ended the day watching Bald Eagles coming to
roost. As a scarlet sunset faded away, I counted the last incoming
eagle, number fourty-seven.
