This is not limited to Tennessee.. Back in about 85 or so I was working with a guy that we called the great white hunter. He came into work one day all excited that he had bagged his first snow Goose. When work was over he retrieved it from the trunk of his car. As he was holding it by the neck I was surprised to see it's feet dragging the ground. I had to explain to him that was he had done break several laws because he had actually shot a Swan. He wasn't done there because he was excited one day because he had shot a wild turkey. I was afraid to ask but he had it in his trunk. I couldn't believe my eyes but he had shot a turkey vulture. I should have just kept my mouth shut and let him enjoy his Thanksgiving bird but I had to tell him the truth.
