The water in the lake at the marsh is drying up quickly, and
yesterday's showers in the Nashville area did little to improve
the situation. With the water area decreasing, this morning
I found more than the usual number of herons looking for breakfast.
There were 4 GREAT BLUE HERONs, 3 GREEN HERONs and a single
breeding plumaged YELLOW-CROWNED NIGHT-HERON.
