Birders,
I visited the Whooping Cranes on Old Cleeces Ferry Road from 11:30 to Noon
(CST) today. They were amazingly close in and lovely to watch. They, along
with about 300 Killdeer, were grazing the second turnip green patch. A VU Life
Flight helicopter came right over where they were eating and it disturbed
some-they started to dance and lift their wings. I was able to see their black
wingtips. It never fails to amaze me seeing them in this setting!
