A yellow-headed Blackbird has been coming to a feeder at a private residence
for 3 days. It appears to be hanging out with a group of Cowbirds. We have not
talked to homeowner but we believe they are friendly to birders. If you go
please don’t go running thru their yard or pull into driveway.
Address is 4017 Foxfield Dr about 5 miles south of Columbia. When you turn
onto Foxfield Rd there is a house under construction on the corner. The next
house on left is the place. There is a feeder in front of house with a suet
feeder to. There are feeders in the backyard to. Ruben and victor had it on
the front suet feeder this morning around 8. I had it 2.5 hours later sitting
in one of the two tallest trees in backyard. Or it could be in the fields just
around house.
If the bird is there you should not need to get out of your car. You can see
all feeders about half way between the house and the one under construction.
