Sunday, 22 DEC 2002, 6:15 pm Central Community, Carter Co., TN After hearing concerns about Great Horned Owls being affected by West Nile virus, and having missed hearing them on the hill behind my house this year in late November/ early December as I have heard them in past years, I was greatly relieved early this evening to hear the lovely sounds of a male and a female Great Horned Owl trading calls. I don't know what this means in the big picture, but I'm counting my blessings.
