Just a heads up on some nice birds that were reported on the Knox Co. Fall Count on Sunday, 25 Sept.
Peregrine Falcon, Northern Harrier, Sora, and Bobolink were found at the UT Plant Science Farm.
Olive-sided Flycatcher in the Mooneys' yard along the Holston River.
Dickcissel at Seven Islands.
A Laughing Gull was seen at Cove Island (Sage Thrasher spot) on Monday after the rains from Hurricane Rita passed for a count week bird.
Brown-headed Nuthatches were found at the 2 regular spots in the county.
A search for the Eurasian Collared-Doves on Cherry St in east Knoxville where they were found during the spring count was unsuccessful.
Please send your results to me as soon as possible.
Thanks, Dean Edwards Knoxville, TN
