She may be looking out for your best interests without even knowing it
because you just can't beat a CRT for a classic computers or video
games, I went out and bought a couple of 14" and a 20" Toshiba flat
screen CRTs when they went on clearance a few years ago and were
selling for next to nothing. They're perfect for my Commodores as they
produce pictures that are every bit as good as those you get with a
Commodore monitor.
With the shift to plasma and LCD TVs, people are selling great CRTs
for very little and in some cases giving or throwing them away. It's a
good time to stock up.
