In my father's day, taking an automobile through the mountains during
winter was a "hard drive".

But seriously, there's also weird names.  Disc vs Disk.

And if we go deeper, why are there so many letters that produce the same
sound, but then produce different sounds when comined with other letters?

Also, what's the point of silent letters?

No wonder passing aliens don't make first contact!!

Josh.

No problem, it's a very common mistake. Today people still refer to the
case that encloses the motherboard, processor, Ram, hard drive,. power
supply etc.. as a "hard drive"

Thanks guys.. he's updated the ad.

I used to call them hard disks because they had a cool hard shell,
definitely weren't floppy, and I was 12 years old and never heard of a Hard
Drive. LOL

I noticed that too.  I do remember some people mistakenly calling 3.5"
disks hard disks and 5.25" disks floppy disks.

I'm pretty sure that's an external floppy drive.
