Hi,
I just purchased an Amiga 1200. The hard drive was dead when I received it.
I prepared a new hard disk in WinUAE; it boots fine under emulation but the
Amiga boot up menu does not recognize it. I don't have any other IDE cables
to try. I checked IDE pins on the oscilloscope; only D0..Dn pins show
activity; others that I checked were stuck low. I have already ordered a CF
to IDE but that takes a while.
The Amiga did not come with PSU; so I am using a 3A 12V and 5A 5V adapters
to power it. -12V rail is not connected.
For now I want to start it from floppy and test it. If anyone has Workbench
floppies (original or copies) or a gotek I can borrow or purchase would be
great. I have a small portable display and UPS for anyone who would like to
meet outside. Zoom meeting is another option I am open to.
