Another production line they had going up on Pharmacy Avenue was for making gas
barbecues. They were made for some company called "Arkla." This name, I
believe, was derived from the words Arkansas and Louisiana, as most of the
units (if not all) were shipped to the southern U.S. One was given away at a
Commodore company golf tourney as a door prize, and I won it! Still using it
today over 26 years later! I've replaced the burner a few times and painted it
once, but I'm sure it still has another 10 years of service left in it!

Hi everyone,

Probly not something we'll see at the show but I remember they did calculators
too. Closest thing in my house besides
the computers is a totally unexciting commodore file cabinet.
