I did a sort of big day on 7/26, I didn't really start until 5:30 am and ended
at around 9:30 pm. My route was somewhat similar to my big day record attempt
this last May: I went to Locust Springs, Alleghany Rd., Rt 642, Rt. 640, Ramsey
Daft. Newport News Park, CBBT, Magotha Rd., Willis Wharf, Chincoteague, and
Saxis. The old "big day" record was 91 species for July in Virginia. On 7/27 I
also heard Swainson's Warbler at Jericho Ditch, and saw five Red-cockaded
Woodpecker, at Piney Grove Preserve.
