[Va-bird] 2 Red-necked Grebes at Willis River Number Seven Dam - Buckingham County

After Sandy River Reservoir this morning, I imagined there could be more
grebes at the Number Seven Dam. I checked the reservoir again this
afternoon located several miles east of Dillwyn in eastern Buckingham
County. Despite half of the lake being frozen, there were still some great
waterfowl on the open water three days after the last report.

There are now TWO Red-necked Grebes on the lake. They were accompanied in a
mixed raft consisting of a Pied-billed Grebe, Ruddy Duck, and male
Red-breasted Merganser. The Canvasbacks were gone, but there are now 2 Bald
Eagles, 7 Great Blue Herons, 13 Hooded Mergansers, and about 100 Canada
Geese.
