Greetings, VA Birders!
A beautiful fall morning greeted 19 birders this morning at 7am at New Quarter
Park, near Williamsburg, VA. Walk Leader Bill Williams helped us find 40 bird
species.
Highlights: 7 Red-headed Woodpeckers, Hermit Thrush, 3 Clapper Rails (heard
down at Queen's Creek) and an aerial display by an adult Bald Eagle over the
creek.
The full list is below as submitted to eBird by Bill.
The Williamsburg Bird Club and New Quarter Park partner to sponsor two bird
walks per month -- 2nd and 4th Saturdays. We are glad to have visitors. If
you're in Williamsburg for the weekend, check our web site for our bird walk
schedule and field trips (3rd Saturdays).
