The 50th season of the Kiptopeke Songbird Station began on Aug 15th.
Calvin Brennan has returned as the Songbird Bander, assisted by a great corps
of
skilled volunteers, under the guidance of Station Master Bob Reilly of
VCU. There is information posted on the Observatory's Facebook page, the 50th
Anniversary button on the Home Page and the General Blog, as well as the
Kiptopeke Blog, which Calvin will manage throughout the season. The Virginia
General Assembly passed a Resolution commending the Station on its
milestone. The Resolution is posted at the Station and will be on the website,
too.
As always, we welcome visitors of all ages.
