Birders!
Talk about hitting the jackpot! I was on the computer this afternoon,
window open,
when I heard a thrush. Well, having gone through this song business a few
years
ago, I went outside, bins in hand and, LO and BEHOLD!!! It was a BICKNELL'S
THRUSH!! I actually saw the little fellow ( these spotted thrushes are
always smaller
than I think they should be - Robins are thrushes!); he had lovely rufous in
the tail and a
tannish (beigey) face. He sang again and departed for
parts unknown, farther North, I would assume. A very welcome addition to my
yard/year list -
