A total of 12 people turned out for this morning's Northern Va. Bird Club walk
at Great Falls National Park, led by Dorothy Tella and myself. The featured
bird of the day was Cedar Waxwing -- there seemed to be two or three everytime
you looked around. A pair of Great Crested Flycatchers and a Scarlet Tanager
were especially cooperative, giving great views for everybody. The trees are
almost fully leafed out, which is not making finding the warblers and vireos in
the treetops any easier. The Swainson & Wood Thrushes, fortunately, were
