I spent a few minutes looking over 150-200 Swallows at Lake Frederick yesterday
afternoon in the mist. Today the rain was gone but the Swallows were not. There
were Barn, Northern Rough-winged, Tree, Purple Martin, Bank (pretty numerous),
and at least one Cliff. Several Chimney Swifts rounded out the cruising bug
eaters.
We have also had Common Nighthawks the past 3 evenings, some right over the
boat ramp area.
