Environmental Studies on the Piedmont (Warrenton), in cooperation with the
VA Department of Forestry, is pleased to host a tree identification
workshop this Saturday, May 13th from 1-4pm (after the rain ends.) Native
trees serve a vital role, producing seed and hosting a myriad of
invertebrates that feed our native songbirds. Join us for this program led
by Dr. Jim McGlone, Urban Forest Conservationist. Be sure to bring your
binoculars and experience first hand how trees provide food and shelter for
both nesting and migrating (warblers!!!) birds. If you bird Sky Meadows in
the morning, grab a sandwich at Red Truck Bakery in Marshall, then head
south to arrive at the field station by 1 pm. 6712 Blantyre Road,
