*Highlights*
4:55 to 6:35 PM - 1 Peregrine Falcon (photographed, see link below,
seemingly very early to find one here though one was also reported
yesterday morning in Hampton via eBird), 135 Semipalmated Plovers, exact
count through binoculars on flats.

Low tide at Pleasure House Point was a little after 8 PM last night, so an
after work walk was timed well for the mudflats to be in use. The above
species were seen, along with some American Oystercatchers and Black
Skimmers with large collections of Laughing Gulls and Royal Terns on the
farther away flats. Sandwich Terns, Herring & Great Black-backed Gulls were
also observed at long distance. Other gull/tern species likely but out of
range of binoculars. The collection of Semipalmated Plovers was the most
I've ever seen at the park in one outing. Very little in the way of
songbird activity, with a couple Blue Grosbeaks being the only real
highlight, though even those are fairly common in the park during
summertime. One Clapper Rail made an appearance at long range before
disappearing into the marsh grasses. Hot, humid weather continues.
